Hospitalizations due to heart failure can take a toll on your mental and physical well-being. There are care options available to reduce your risk.
This type of heart failure happens when your heart muscle is stiff and thick. It can still squeeze and pump blood out of the heart, so the amount of blood leaving the heart with each beat seems normal. However, because the heart muscle is stiff, it can't fully relax and fill up with enough blood in the first place.

This is a newer term for a type of heart failure where the heart's pumping ability is in a middle or "mid-range" area. It's not as good as a healthy heart's pump, but it's not as weak as in other types of heart failure. The heart can't pump out enough blood to fully meet the body's needs, and this can lead to symptoms like shortness of breath and tiredness.
Your participation in this clinical study may help researchers learn how to reduce the risk of hospitalizations for those with heart failure preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) or heart failure with mid-range ejection fraction (HFmrEF).
This clinical research study will test the study drug to see how well it works for reducing urgent hospital visits due to HFpEF and HFmrEF. You may be able to be part of the research if:
